How to start your device

Once the device is installed and holds your connection key, starting it is simple.

1. Run the app on the machine. If you used the install command, it can be set to start automatically and keep running in the background.
2. On its first run the device reaches out to Email Manager Pro, registers itself, and begins checking in.
3. Open your Devices page — within a few seconds the device appears and is marked online.

Good to know

• A device that has checked in within the last minute shows as online. If it goes quiet, it'll show as inactive until it checks in again.
• An idle device (no modules running) automatically slows how often it checks in, so it's light on resources — it speeds back up the moment there's work.
• You never open inbound ports: the device only makes outbound connections.
